We have been providing packaging services to companies throughout Europe for over nine years. Our client base in the Netherlands is comprised primarily of retailers, supermarkets and wholesalers, while internationally we supply to chain stores and import companies.

During the summer months, we package large quantities of Dutch open-field and greenhouse vegetables.

European companies import fruit from overseas and, after it is delivered to the Port of Rotterdam, keep it in cold storage before supplying it to IQ Packing in stages. The company is strategically located, with easy access to both the Port of Rotterdam and Germany, our main export market.

The company Mooy Logistics, with whom we share our building, provides cold stores where we can store our goods, in addition to being able to provide comprehensive logistics solutions if needed.
The advantage of this cooling facility is that the product to be packaged arrives in the packaging areas rapidly and in prime condition.

Our temperature-controlled warehouses, which have a combined surface area of 4,000 square metres, contain a wide range of packaging machines. These carefully maintained and easily adaptable machines allow us to meet our clients’ diverse needs.

Our company is constantly innovating, our most recent acquisition being a Multi-head machine. This machine was purchased specifically to produce snack trays for fruit and vegetables, so as to meet the growing demand for this product in the conventional market.

The employees who were with the company from the very beginning are still with us today, sharing their years of practical expertise and experience with the new employees of our fast-growing company. During busy times, we hire temporary workers who receive in-house training and remain with the company for an extended period of time.

In addition, our employees gain expertise through training courses, by attending trade fairs and exhibitions, and from manufacturers of packaging machines. We liaise closely with manufacturers of packaging materials on issues such as raw materials, types of packaging, and the applicability of the various dishes, film, trays, nets and foodtainers.

Packing IQ operates according to the norms and rules of the BRC (British Retail Consortium) hygiene for vegetables and fruit. The certificate is achieved at the highest level. In 2009, the IFS (International Food Safety Standard) is achieved.
