Biopack is part of I.Q. Packing BV., the division dedicated to packaging organic fruit and vegetables.
The activities are carried out in a climate-controlled, certified warehouse that is separated from the general area, allowing us to satisfy the requiremements imposed by SKAL, the certification body for organic production in the Netherlands, and minimise the risk of organic and non-organic products coming into contact with one another.
Most of the activities are carried out for Eosta, with whom we share our building and who specialise in the import and export of organic fruit and vegetables from the Netherlands, Europe, and beyond.
All the packaging used for organic products is biodegradable and compostable, the only current exception being cucumbers.
Raw materials used in the manufacture of these packaging materials are primarily maize, tree bark and sugar cane.
As a result of the rapidly growing organic market and increased focus on major chain stores, as well as IQ Packing’s response to this demand by collaborating with Eosta, Biopack has experienced explosive growth in recent years.
